During the 3 weeks while it’s moving backward, try to test a few of your ideas for moving forward. Think of it as a “mini-beta”.

All you’re looking for is data that tells you on the right track. 

Here are some good signs to look for:

First, you’re doing it differently than you ever have before. If you’re reviving an old system, then you’ve identified why it didn’t work for you before and fixing that.

Second, it feels damn good. It makes you feel like you’re great at what you do and you see possibilities for it to build 6 months from now. With some work, of course.

And of course, it feels like progress.
